Isabel Pitre

Hi, I’m Isabel Pitre, a clinical mental health counselor with a deep love for serving my community. I earned my bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi and a master’s in counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University.

 

I work with clients on a variety of issues, including grief, life stressors, career challenges, anxiety, depression, cultural trauma, men’s issues, and more. I’m solution-focused, always aiming to help my clients move forward with hope and strength.

 

I’m an old soul who values authenticity and embracing who we are as individuals. I take great pride in my Hispanic heritage and bring that pride into my work. My clinical experience is diverse, but I’m especially passionate about supporting those who’ve faced medical trauma or are exploring their cultural identity.

 

Having survived cancer twice, I have a unique perspective on medical trauma, which fuels my commitment to creating a safe, supportive space for others on similar paths. I also focus on cultural identity and generational trauma, drawing from my experiences as a first-generation Hispanic born in the states. I understand the delicate balance between embracing American culture and seeking acceptance within one’s own heritage. My approach is rooted in empathy, resilience, and the belief that while the past deserves to be honored, it doesn’t have to dictate our present.

 

When I’m not working, you can find me enjoying the outdoors, binging on reality or anime TV shows, spending quality time with family and friends, and spoiling my fur babies.
